International recognition for New Zealand excellence

At Hauora, every jar of mānuka honey represents the remarkable landscapes of New Zealand and the care that goes into producing one of nature's most extraordinary foods. This month, we are honoured to share that our UMF™ 30+ Mānuka Honey has been awarded the Grand Gold Award at the 2026 Monde Selection Quality Awards in Paris.

Founded in 1961, Monde Selection is one of the world's most respected international quality institutes. Products are evaluated by an independent panel of experts who assess every aspect of quality, from presentation and appearance through to aroma, flavour, texture, and overall sensory experience.

The judges described Hauora UMF™ 30+ as "an exceptional Mānuka honey defined by its depth and persistence," praising its elegant presentation, rich golden-mahogany colour, expressive aromatic profile, and beautifully balanced complexity. They highlighted its distinctive floral and woody notes, luxurious melting texture, and exceptionally long finish, describing it as a honey of remarkable richness and distinction.

While awards are always appreciated, what makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it celebrates the qualities we strive for every day: authenticity, craftsmanship, and an uncompromising commitment to quality.

This year's Grand Gold Award builds on seven consecutive Monde Selection Gold Awards received between 2019 and 2025, reflecting Hauora's ongoing commitment to producing exceptional New Zealand mānuka honey.

From the remarkable landscapes where our mānuka trees grow to the careful harvesting, testing, and presentation of every jar, our goal has always been to share the very best of New Zealand with the world.
