This honey comes from a tree that grows from the lowlands to the mountain forests. Also known as NZ’s honeysuckle, the Rewarewa is a tall handsome tree with intricate spiraled flowers and glowing red wood. The warmth of the wood is reflected in the honey yielded from its flowers. Intense and seasoned, the rich red honey has smokey complex flavours complimented with a clean sweet finish. It is wonderful in baking and marinades.
